Light Of My Life is the new film directed by Oscar-winning actor Casey Affleck. The premise is that a disease, called QTB, has wiped out most of the female population, a development that sends the planet into ruin.
But there’s a twist, one of the last females left is Affleck’s daughter, who he hides in the guise of a boy as they travel a ravaged landscape full of roving bands of survivors 10 years after the disease struck the planet. A look at the trailer immediately brings to mind The Road, but in this film, the gender-specific disease twist seems raise the stakes even higher.
The film will be released in US theaters on August 9.
