“A Christmas Carol,” better known to many as Scrooge, has been remade again, but this time things are even darker.
The classic Charles Dickens ghost story remake stars Guy Pearce (L.A. Confidential, Prometheus) as Ebenezer Scrooge along with Andy Serkis (Black Panther, Lord of the Rings), Stephen Graham (Snatch, Pirates of the Caribbean), and others.
Aside from a stellar cast, it seems this version, which is actually a mini-series, veers into apocalyptic territory.
The mini-series kicks off on the FX network on December 19.
