The cult science fiction hit Altered Carbon, first led by actor Joel Kinnaman (House of Cards, The Killing) is coming back for Season 2. But this time, the role of Takeshi Kovacs is being played by none other than Anthony Mackie (Avengers: Endgame).
If you’re not familiar with the series, it’s based on the 2003 novel of the same name by author Richard K. Morgan.
In the world of Altered Carbon people can essentially time travel by occasionally switching their entire bodies, which are called sleeves.
What distinguishes the series is just how deep it dives into the tradition of cyberpunk, delivering everything from stunning super cities, to flying cars, to holographic interfaces and artificial humans.
You’ll come for the eye candy and stay for the great writing being steered by showrunner Laeta Kalogridis.
The series returns to Netflix on February 27.
