Apple is now in the self-driving car business.
For several years rumors have swirled that Apple was working on producing its own car, but none of the rumors panned out beyond reports of hirings and firings of various developmental staff. Because of that, it was unclear just how serious Apple was about becoming a car company.
Those questions are now gone, as Apple has acquired self-driving car startup Drive.ai for an undisclosed amount. The news was broken by Axios.
