CBS All Access already hit a home run with Star Trek: Discovery, so it’s no surprise they’ve gone on in with a spin-off show featuring one of the most beloved characters in the franchise: Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), from the Star Trek: The Next Generation crew.
The trailer doesn’t show us much, but we do get to visit the winery Chateau Picard (and yes, we want a bottle of that fine elixir now, too). Other than some Picard-has-been-enjoying-retirement tracking shots, complete with a drone appearance, it’s mostly all about Picard, and his face. The face that launched the true rebirth of the Star Trek franchise decades ago. This seems like it’s going to be a pretty fun ride.
